I knew I wouldnt be good at keeping this thing up....but here we go again. Lots has happened and I love to take pictures so here are pictures of our summer, a picture is worth a thousand words anyway, right? First off we went to Disneyland in May, what a blast!! We left Addi home with Grandma Kingery which was such a help. Paytens favorite ride was California Screamin', she barely reached the height requirement with the help of some platform flip flops. But, she made it and rode that ride like there was no tomorrow. Ellie loved the Matterhorn and couldnt get enough of it. My favorite was the new Toy Story ride. The wait was outrageous, but well worth it :) TD loved Space Moutain as always, cant beat a good classic! We all had lunch with the Princesses, and the girls both got to be padawon learners, to learn how to be Jedi's (TD was so proud and jealous at the same time)Overall it was such a good time. I love spending time with my family :)

Happy Easter!!

HaPPy EasTER!!!! We had a great Easter morning. The girls had a blast snuggling with us in our bed and then heading downstairs to search for their Easter baskets. Grandma and Grandpa Croshaw sent the girls tons of wonderful Easter goodies, and new gardening gloves to help in the yard :) Now were off to watch conference together, the girls love to color pictures of the speakers tye's. Later today we will leave for Grandma and Grandpa Kingery's for our annual Easter Egg hunt. Fun, fun, fun...

St. Patrick's day fun..

Happy St. Patrick's Day.... a little late! The girls absolutely loved St. Patrick's day. They set up traps for the leprechauns. Payten made a trap out of toilet paper rolls and a red plastic cup. Ellie made a trap out of a shoe box, they both filled their traps with candy and "gold", they were both really cute. But, that sneaky little leprechaun wasn't tricked by their traps and left gold coins all over the table, stole the candy and gold and he turned our milk green :) The girls were so excited in the morning to see that their traps had almost caught the leprechaun!

Wakin' up is hard to do..

While the kids got to have fun in the sun in St. George, TD and I got to sit in a hospital all weekend. TD has had problems with his knees for a while so he decided to finally have a scope to clean them up. We went into the hospital for the "simple" procedure and came out with 4 weeks on crutches and 4 months of no activity, only walking. Not quite what we were planning on. The Doctor got going on his knee and said it was a lot worse than he was expecting. TD had a huge bone spur that was tearing up the cartilage in his knee and he had built up scar tissue that was keeping him from straightening out his leg all the way. Long story short..... TD will be out of commission for a while. It was a good thing that we got it fixed now though and he will be able to surf by the beginning of August so... not a total loss of summer :) He also had a hard time coming out of the anesthesia, most people wake up and are out of there in around 20 minutes... it took TD 3 hours. TD said they gave him the "elephant" dose of medication. But, we are home now and he is doing great.

Fun in the sun....

Payten and Ellie had a wonderful week. They got to go spend the entire week down in St. George with their Grandma and Grandpa Croshaw. My kids are so lucky and blessed to have two sets of Grandparents that love them endlessly and spoil them relentlessly!! They had sooo much fun swimming, sewing, bouncing, swinging, playing baseball, jumping, sleeping in teepees, reading, playing with cousins, and laughing. With how much my and TD's parents spoil our kids we have no chance of ever being the favorites :)

Ordinary Miracles

I am so grateful for all of the little ordinary miracles in my life. I am learning to appreciate and enjoy all the everyday little precious things about my family, especially my kids, that all to soon will be a sweet, distant memory. I love the messy wet kisses, the "mom will you snuggle with me" whispers, the "guess what I did" accomplishments, and the little comments of "your the best mom I have ever had." I am really trying to learn to live in these precious moments. All too often I am so rushed and hurried by unimportant things that I overlook these special times and moments. My goal from here on out is to relish in the messed up hair and fingerprinted windows, to read books and bake cupcakes, to tell secrets and whisper more than yell, to charish the smells of baby lotion and crayons, to be there more, and most of all to enjoy every step of the wild ride!!!

Happy Valentines Day !

I had a WondERFul Valentines day!! TD was so sweet and baked me the cutest cake ever! He frosted it with tons and tons of cream cheese frosting, because it is my VERY favorite. He also gave me super cute running pants (to run off all the cake calories) cause you can bet I am eating the WHOLE cake!! He even cut a heart out of another cake and frosted in pink...Ahhhhhhh! I am so lucky to have such a caring and amazing husband :) The girls also had a fun day. Grandma and Granpa Croshaw sent them fun packages with candy, pjs and singing toys. Its a family tradition to put the packages on the front porch, ring the door bell and run. The girls loved it! So Happy Valentines day.

Going Buggy!!!

Payten had her second grade program today. It was so cute, the entire program was based around bugs. Her class were dressed up like bees. Payten did a great job with her speaking part and I was really impressed at how loud they sang and how well they knew the songs. I was very proud!

Slowly but surely I am figuring this out, and I am determined to keep better track of my life, so I am feeling pretty good about myself right now! I will try to post maybe once a week while I am working :) I am looking forward to Payten's 2nd grade program today and I will post some pictures tomorrow. She is going to be a bee and she even has a speaking part!

I really can't believe I am doing this.... I swore up and down I would neeever blog, but here I am. I think this is a really good way to journal and keep track of my cute girls growing up. With my forgetful memory and BUSY schedule, I need all the help I can get. So HERE WE GOOO!!! Stay tuned for pictures and what I am sure to be very minimal postings :)
